In the fall of 2001, the doors of Nubian Village Academy opened to more than 60 gifted and aspiring young children 16 months through the 8th grade. The school represents the first not-for-profit African-Centered private school in the State of Virginia. As we continue to exist, we recognize that many inquiring families lack the financial means to send their child to our school. We believe that all students, regardless of their background, deserve an education that enriches, nurtures, and expands the “whole” student. Our children need your support! We embrace the African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Together we can make a difference.
